What We Do

We are a family that loves Jesus.

Justin has been a volunteer with YWAM (Youth with a Mission) for over seven years now. Mainly working in the training department and leading disciplship schools (DTS), his job has taken him all around the world. He has been to countries such as Australia, Thailand, Fiji, Tonga, New Zealand, and East Timor. He now has such passion for the Pacific Islands and is known to many as the “wannabe islander”. He is a passionate man in general, other loves include: food (almost anything that is not a vegetable), footy, making GOD known and glorified, movies, and surfing.

Amanda has been volunteering just under three years now. She was in Thailand just after the tsunami hit and upon seeing the devistation there she felt called to nursing school. Upon completion of school she joined Justin in Australia and was a part of the first ever health care school. Her team went into Papua New Guinea and Indonesia offering free health care clinics and treating the poeple who needed it the most. She has also staffed a school along Justin and worked in the Guest Services department. Since becoming a momma her family has taken priority and she is enjoying the adventure God has thrown our way. Things that make her happiest are: learning more about God, hosting and cooking for people, healthcare, soccer and her family.

Mia has been with YWAM her whole life. Recently turing one year old, sweet Mia is a joy in the Claypool Family and to most people she meets. Some of her favorite things are animals, dancing and music, and swimming.

We recently moved on from our home and ministry in Australia to pursue Justin’s dream of filmmaking. It is as scary as it is exciting to step out and finally pursue the dream. We look forward to all God has in store for us in the coming years.
